The 8th Conference of the Hellenic Crystallographic Association (HeCrA) and the 11th Conference of the Hellenic Society for Computational Biology and Bioinformatics (HSCBB) (HeCrA-HSCBB16) are jointly organized.

The Conference is the major event both of HeCrA & HSCBB. It is a forum to communicate state-of-the-art research, interact and establish scientific networks and collaborations.

The SETN'12 will be held in Lamia, Greece,  May 28-31, 2012. SETN'12 is organised by the Hellenic AI Society (EETN), in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics of the University of Central Greece.

SETN conferences have already been established as the most prominent forums for Greek and International AI scientists to present original and high-quality research on emergent topics of Artificial Intelligence. The conference aims:

  • to bring together researchers who work actively on the field of Artificial Intelligence, to support the exchange of opinions and the formation of new research groups and collaborations,
  • to disseminate original and highly-qualitative results of the Greek AI community and Greek research labs, fostering international collaborations,
  • to inform undergraduate and postgraduate students about the current state of affairs of AI research as conducted by scientists in Greece and worldwide,
  • to promote research results to companies and facilitate the development of innovative products.

6th Conference of the Hellenic Society for Computational Biology & Bioinformatics • HSCBB11

 

FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT


The 6th Conference of the Hellenic Society for Computational Biology & Bioinformatics – HSCBB11 – is co-organized by the Hellenic Society for Computational Biology and Bioinformatics (HSCBB) jointly with the University of Patras and FORTH/ICE-HT. The HSCBB11 will take place at the Conference Center of the University of Patras, October 7-9, 2011.

As an outreach activity of the HSCBB, a satellite Workshop on Advanced Bioinformatics Tools and Applications with training lectures and panel discussions will also be organized (October 6-7, 2011).

The Conference, which is the major annual event of HSCBB, aims at being a forum for researchers in the relevant fields from Greece, Cyprus and other countries to present their work and creatively interact for the establishment of scientific networks and collaborations.

Conference Topics include:

       Sequence analysis

       Phylogenetics

       Structural Bioinformatics

       High-throughput biomolecular analysis
