The Computational Genetics lab of the Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics of the University of Thessaly, is going to hire two (2) full-time post-doctoral researchers for the research project «Integration of Data from Multiple Sources (IntDaMuS)» (ARISTIA ΙΙ, funded by the General Secretariat for Research and Technology).

The first position (18 months) refers to a scientist with PhD in Biostatistics or Statistics, with experience in some of the following areas:

-genetic epidemiology

-statistical methods in epidemiology

-genomewide association studies

-meta-analysis

-programming in STATA/R

-Bayesian statistics

The second position (12 months) refers to a scientist with PhD in Bioinformatics or Computer Science, with experience in some of the following areas:

-biological sequence analysis

-microarray data analysis

-databases

-hidden Markov models and neural networks

-programming in C/Java
